Job Description - Service Desk Analyst on site in Dade City, FL

Client: FL Law Enforcement
Position: Service Desk Analyst (ENTRY LEVEL)
Term: Ongoing contract
Pay Rate: $18/Hr
Shifts: Mon-Fri 1pm-10pm
Location: Dade City, FL 100% On site - Must be located in the region
Work Authorization: MUST BE USC OR GC

Scope: This is an opportunity for you to break into the IT industry either a new graduate with no experience or a shift in your career track

Education: Some technical certificates CompTIA A+ or AA computer science degree

Experience:
  • Some level of IT Certifications and/or degree or pursuing a computer science degree
  • Held steady job in the past 2-3 years either former military or service industry or security
  • Wanting to break into the computer science to gain entry level work experience with curiosity to learn and grow

Role: The job is responsible for the monitoring, analysis, and response to alarms and issues critical for the department. The monitoring responsibilities will be in diverse areas throughout the enterprise. In this role you will monitor the enterprise technology, WAN, ready for business applications, Critical Facilities Infrastructure, and other processes that are critical to the business. Using both proprietary and third party tools, the monitoring specialist will respond to and analyze each issue and respond via escalation procedures and coordination with on call teams. 

What you will do:
  • While working with the monitoring tools and processes, your main focus will be the timely analysis and response to alerts and issues that arise 
  • Assist with passwords, access to laptops/computers and other equipment for officers
  • Respond to all alerts and issues as defined in the escalation processes and SOP's.
  • Effectively communicate the issue and respond per the defined process. 
  • Follow up and document all issues and note current status, open and pending items, and prepare reports for incoming teams.
  • Work with technology teams to create and modify monitoring documentation and processes.
  • Communicate externally with partners in the escalation path.
  • Execute scripted checks and processes to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
