Service Dispatcher

The Service Dispatcher is a professional responsible for dispatching and prioritizing calls. They must be able to handle incoming calls from customers, service techs and customer service reps from all branches of Lake Region Energy. The Service Dispatcher is also responsible for collecting and billing out all work orders. They must be able to handle any work delegated to them and be able to multitask.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assign techs to work orders based on priority and technicians licenses. 
• Print/distribute/collect daily work orders.
• Update schedule and contact customer with any schedule changes.
• Monitor GPS for the purpose of dispatching the next call and to have knowledge of all tech locations .
• Schedule tank sets/pick-ups coordinating with delivery for first fill/pump outs of propane tanks.
• Verify ALL work orders are received back daily and ensure follow up work is assigned to the appropriate person (parts, sales, service manager).
• Update any cancelled work orders and annotate the customer account.
• Bill all service work orders, verifying accuracy of hours worked, accuracy of part numbers and details of work performed. 
• Work with sales and service manager to ensure correct billing for quoted jobs.
• Mail or email invoices to customers.
• Communicate with customers to schedule annual maintenance on equipment.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years related experience required. 
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment. 

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.
