Slaymaker Electric Motor & Supply is a faith-based, family-oriented company that sells, repairs, services, and provides maintenance for electrical and mechanical equipment in the agricultural, commercial, industrial, and facilities markets. What You'll Do as a Service Electrician:
Lead and manage service jobs from start to finish, coordinating materials, timelines, and on-site execution to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time completion.
Diagnose & repair electrical issues on site at our customers' locations.
Installation & maintenance ofelectrical systems and equipment in compliance with NEC and company standards.
Size, run, & bend conduit and pull electrical wire to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant installations.
Communicate clearly with customers, providing honest assessments and dependable solutions.
Complete work efficiently while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.
Document work performed, materials used, and hours.
Collaborate with other electricians to ensure project success and share best practices.
Mentor apprentices and assist less experienced teammates as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety procedures.
Work full-time, Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with one week per month on-call and travel within two hours of the shop.
Our Ideal Service Electrician:
Experienced: 3+ years of electrical service experience required; strong knowledge of the NEC, electrical systems, circuit troubleshooting, and blueprint reading. Previous experience as an industrial electrician or electrical maintenance technician is a plus.
Educated: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A vocational or technical certification is preferred.
Safety-minded: Demonstrates a consistent commitment to safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
Customer-focused: Communicates clearly and provides professional, respectful service on every job.
Independent & Driven: Works well without supervision, showing initiative, problem-solving ability, and strong time management.
Active: Able to stand, bend, lift, and carry materials up to 50 lbs. throughout the workday.
Must provide your own hand tools.
