Service Engineer

Job Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, coordinating repair and maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and providing technical support to customers and technicians. The role focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction while ensuring vehicles are serviced according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.


• Perform or supervise vehicle inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance.


• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of service jobs.


• Explain technical issues and repair recommendations to customers.


• Prepare job cards, service estimates, and maintenance reports.


• Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.


• Ensure compliance with manufacturer service standards and safety procedures.


• Handle customer concerns and resolve technical complaints professionally.


• Maintain service records and update the workshop management system.


• Coordinate with the spare parts department to ensure parts availability.


• Stay updated on new vehicle technologies and attend technical training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.


• 1–3 years of experience in automobile service or workshop operations.
