Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Electrical Service Manager to lead our growing San Antonio service division. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day service operations, overseeing a team of technicians, coordinating customer service requests, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Service Manager will play a critical role in customer retention, department profitability, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the electrical service department, including dispatching, scheduling, and job tracking.
Manage a team of electricians and technicians—providing leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to grow service revenue.
Ensure all service work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company safety standards and NEC compliance.
Collaborate with estimating and project management teams on service-related proposals, change orders, and small projects.
Track KPIs, service call metrics, backlog, and workforce utilization to optimize efficiency.
Implement best practices in preventive maintenance, emergency response, and troubleshooting.
Manage inventory levels, tool/equipment maintenance, and vehicle fleet coordination.
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training field personnel.
Interface with customers to resolve escalations, provide technical guidance, and ensure satisfaction.
Prepare reports for senior leadership, including service revenue trends and departmental performance.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in electrical service work, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
Deep understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems, troubleshooting, and code compliance.
Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style.
Experience with scheduling, estimating small jobs, and working in a fast-paced service environment.
Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency with service management software, mobile dispatch tools, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and scopes of work.
