Job Description - Service Manager



Do you have a passion for the automotive industry and a drive to lead a high-performing service team? Our Nissan Kia dealership is looking for an experienced Service Manager to take our customer service and shop performance to the next level.


Your Role:
As Service Manager, you will lead daily operations of the service department to ensure profitability, efficiency, and a first-class customer experience. You’ll oversee a skilled team of advisors and technicians while building a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage all service department activities, including repair orders, dispatching, and workflow




  • Ensure a positive customer experience and strong CSI performance




  • Coach, mentor, and develop service advisors and technicians




  • Drive profitability through efficient labor utilization and proper upselling




  • Monitor key metrics (hours per RO, effective labor rate, comeback rate, etc.)




  • Coordinate with the Parts, Sales, and Warranty departments




  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer policies and safety regulations




  • Represent the Nissan and Kia brands with professionalism and integrity




What You Bring to the Table:




  • Prior experience as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager, preferably with Nissan Kia, or another import brand




  • Proven track record in driving department performance and customer satisfaction




  • Excellent leadership and communication skills




  • Working knowledge of DMS-Tekion




  • Understanding of manufacturer warranty processes and compliance standards
