We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will oversee all HVAC service operations, manage a team of technicians, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive growth. This position requires a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and lead HVAC service technicians.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members to maintain a skilled workforce.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing professional development.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians as needed.
Scheduling & Service Operations
- Monitor service tickets and workload distribution to maintain efficiency and responsiveness.
- Ensure service operations are completed on time, within scope, and to company standards.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for service customers.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Provide accurate estimates and recommendations for repairs, maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all service work meets company standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct job site visits and quality checks on completed work.
- Lead safety meetings and training sessions.
- Enforce safety procedures and compliance protocols.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and service parts.
- Coordinate ordering and stocking of necessary materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage the service department budget with a focus on profitability and cost control.
- Review and approve service-related invoices and documentation.
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, certifications, and compliance documentation.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track service performance metrics and generate operational reports.
- Provide updates to leadership on service performance and department needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on HVAC technology, tools, and industry best practices.
Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, installation, and administrative teams to ensure seamless service operations and customer support.
