Chevrolet Dealership Service Manager

Vito Rinaldi Chevrolet is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department in Shenandoah, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining efficient workflow within the service team. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the service department to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.


• Supervise, train, and motivate service technicians and staff to maintain high performance and quality standards.


• Review the distribution of daily workflow between technicians


• Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures


• Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether via phone or in person, to ensure the customer does not get mishandled.  Handle any customer complaints immediately.


• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure excellent service experience.


• Coordinate service schedules, manage workflow, and ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed promptly.


• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.


• Monitor service department performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.


• Work with our experienced Parts Manager to strategically order parts and supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the automotive service industry.


• Strong leadership and team management skills.


• Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor service department staff.


• Facilitate training programs offered by the manufacturer and company ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.


• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.


• In-depth knowledge of automotive repair services and maintenance processes.


• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
