Nations Roof is seeking a Service Operation Manager .

Position Summary:
The Commercial Roofing Service Operations Manager, under the direct supervision of the Service Manager (or other title listed above), is responsible for providing leadership for all service department daily operations control’s operations meetings, and field employee management, project quality control and safety.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

:
Manage the operations department for performance, efficiency, and profitability on projects.
Effectively supervise Lead Service Technician(s), and field service personnel to maximize projects efficiency in productively per specifications and satisfactorily complete according to manufacturer’s warranty requirements and to complete service calls according to company standards.
Coordinate with sales, project management and estimating and provide technical roofing knowledge and alternatives, as required.
Maintain communication with clients, crew(s) and the company.
Review wages and job performance for all operations employees.
Review of operating reports such as time and attendance records, terminations, new hires, transfers, budget expenditures and statistical records of performance data.
Willing and able to perform field inspections, both for quality and for estimating purposes, when the need arises. This includes reporting detailed roof information to estimating amongst other duties, as required.
Assist in creation of high-quality repair estimates, roof surveys, preventive maintenance reports, drawings and other deliverables for clients.
Verify payroll consolidation and entry.
Creation of management reports such as profitability report and bid log.
Personnel: Hiring, firing and professional development of service personnel.
Scheduling and dispatch of field personnel, as required
Daily supervision of field employees by job site visits and the review of job tickets to confirm quality and customer service.
Responsible for safety and safety training with all required meetings certifications and documentation.
Material purchasing, as required.
Manages preparation and projects, review and administration of contractual proposals, contracts and purchase orders relating to construction projects.
Maintains relationships between the organization and outside consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the project

management/development

tracking tool.
Receives, organizes, and maintains all construction documents.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively plan, organize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Intermediate computer skills required. (Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to budget, measure department and motivate personnel.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field, preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Five years commercial roofing experience or an equivalent market, manufacturing or distribution experience servicing the commercial roofing marketplace. Experience estimating and management of commercial roofing service project work.
