Service Options Analyst

The role of Service Options Analyst is to provide internal/external customers with accurate parts and service pricing. This requires the use of clear descriptions for the scope of proposed work in all areas of service throughout the dealership territory. The Service Options Analyst will be utilizing consistent processes in conjunction with standard jobs and repair options so that customers can feel confident about getting a quality repair for a competitive price at any Wheeler Machinery branch location. The Service Options Analyst will also monitor sold quotes through the entire repair process looking for opportunities to improve our customer’s overall experience when they select Wheeler Machinery as their repair service provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares cost estimate by analyzing proposal requirements and deliverables specified by the internal/external customer.
• Studies and evaluates estimate requests, damage photos, TA inspections, or other information provided, to compose an accurate repair estimate.
• Identifies parts, labor and other material needs to complete the requested repairs.
• Assembles the cost estimate by gathering parts, labor and any other applicable pricing.
• Prepares all applicable and requested documentation to meet the needs of the customer and submit through desired channel.

• Online Procurement Methods (Ariba, Jaegger, etc)
• Other, as specified by the requestor
• When applicable and where possible, apply standardized estimation practices for customer experience purposes.
• Contribute to the overall team effort by accomplishing other assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Experience with parts counter sales quoting or service repair work. Strong knowledge of Caterpillar and supporting OEM related product lines.
• Familiarity of various systems utilized to look up parts and technical information.
• Basic understanding of components, troubleshooting and the repair process.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers as well as Wheeler Machinery staff throughout all branch locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
