Service Porter

Baker Auto Group (Ludington) is seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Service Porter with a primary focus on customer vehicle pick-up and delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a convenient and professional experience by transporting customer vehicles to and from their homes or workplaces, as part of our service department operations. You will also support the service team by assisting with vehicle staging, lot organization, and ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for return. Excellent communication, punctuality, and a customer-first attitude are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their home, workplace, or other designated locations in a timely and professional manner.


• Communicate with customers and service advisors to coordinate vehicle pick-up and delivery schedules.


• Ensure proper documentation of vehicle condition before and after transport, reporting any issues immediately.


• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of customer vehicles during transit.


• Provide excellent customer service during vehicle hand-offs, representing the dealership with courtesy and professionalism.


• Support the service team by moving vehicles in parking areas as needed.


• Help maintain an organized and clean service drive and lot area.


• Perform basic vehicle inspections before delivery.


• Follow all safety and driving procedures in compliance with dealership policies.

Qualifications

• Current and valid drivers license.


• Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (Background & Drug & MVR)


• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions (preferred).


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.


• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.


• Friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor.


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
