Summary

This position is responsible to safely and accurately complete a variety of vehicle repairs in a timely manner. Employee fulfills primary responsibilities through strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and solid work ethic. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance in accordance with Toyota guidelines and MMT policies
• Completes quality work accurately and efficiently
• Strives to achieve production objectives
• Maintains high standards leading to minimal vehicles returned, for mechanical or cleanliness concerns
• Ability to diagnose vehicle issues and provide action plan for resolution
• Demo’s vehicles to assist in diagnosis 
• Complete required testing in a timely manner and continue climbing in Toyota Technician rank
• Adhere to OSHA and KPA Safety measures
• Maintains open communication with Technician and Advisor teammates
• Contributes to team structure and adds value in productivity
• Communicates with warranty team regarding details of repair orders
• Maintains an inventory or normal mechanic tools to include: Screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and any other tools needed to perform assigned work
• Properly use all special tools and equipment needed to complete repair
• Uses shop supplies and materials in an efficient and practical manner
• Consistently reviews work bulletins and emails for current news and changes
• Works daily in DealerFX to ensure smooth repair process for customer and internal team
• Speaks with customers regarding questions or concerns, as needed
• Maintains a clean and organized work space
• Acts in accordance with MMT 4 C’s
• Communicates any concerns to Shop Foreman

Requirements

•  Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership setting
• Toyota ASE certification is required 
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds or more)  
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

 Milton Martin Toyota is providing a sign-on bonus for Toyota ASE-certified technicians. The amount of the sign-on bonus will be based on the level of ASE certification.
