Service Technician

A growing industrial services company is seeking a Service Technician to support fluid separation, maintenance, and optimization efforts across the Mid–Southeast Michigan area. This hands-on role focuses on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support at various client sites. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on industrial fluid separation and filtration equipment.
  

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process issues and perform repairs as needed.
  

• Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment calibrations.
  

• Provide on-site support, training, and troubleshooting for customers.
  

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using internal reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  

• Ensure compliance with internal safety protocols and customer site safety requirements.
  

• Adhere to all company procedures, ethical guidelines, and quality standards.
  

• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  

• Experience: Experience in industrial maintenance or service work preferred; training in mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, or machine operation is a plus.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong mechanical aptitude with general knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and industrial equipment.
  

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  

• Familiarity with PCs, HMIs, PLCs, and DCS systems is a plus.
  

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  

• Problem-solving ability and a strong attention to detail.
  

• Capable of working independently and managing daily travel schedules.
  

• Basic math and computer skills; ability to document work accurately.
  

Travel Requirements

• Daily travel to local customer sites; minimal overnight travel required.
