Service Technician

Job Summary:
McDonough Hyundai is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Hyundai certified Service Technician. As a certified technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' vehicles are serviced and maintained to the highest standards. This is an individual contributor role that offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth within the company.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry with a compensation range of $22 to $50 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities:
As a Hyundai certified Service Technician at McDonough Hyundai, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
- Communicating effectively with customers and providing them with detailed explanations of service needs and recommendations
- Utilizing dealership resources and tools to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Following all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the service department
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Hyundai technology and service procedures through ongoing training and education

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified automotive technology program
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be a Hyundai certified technician
- Prior experience working in an automotive service department preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and components
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
