Service Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at Dutch Miller of Wytheville. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry located in Wytheville, Virginia.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive compensation package of $15 to $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plan, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of automotive maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and engine diagnostics
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems with vehicles
- Accurately document repairs and services performed in a timely manner
- Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain recommended repairs and potential future maintenance needs
- Keep up-to-date with latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and development
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience as an automotive technician or completion of a formal training program preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Must have own tools
