Summary

Borealis Fuels & Logistics is seeking an experienced and licensed Service Technician to expand its Elko Nevada service team.  Borealis deems this position to be essential for our continued growth in Nevada.  The Service Technician will work directly with the Service Manager.  We are willing to train the right candidate even if you only have minimal experience. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Borealis’ vision to LPG service excellence in Nevada;


• Perform new tank installations and tank swap-outs;


• Operate a rail to truck LPG transloader;


• Perform leak checks, basic repairs at customers homes, etc.

Education 

• Current NV Certificate of Competency or willingness to obtain;


• CDL driver's licence with Air Brake endorsement to be done if not acquired yet;


• Bulk handling, tank inspections, and bottle fill recognized courses (Borealis will provide training if required); 


• HAZMAT training and certification;


• Willingness to learn the industrial side of propane systems. 

Position Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of the propane and LPG industry,


• Proficient with computers and office software,


• Exceptional communication and time management skills,


• Multitasking and the ability to work with teams,


• Solid knowledge of the USA mining industry,


• Communication and self-organization skills, a hands-on mentality,


• Attention to detail and a self-starter,


• Ability to work away from home from time to time to execute large projects and/or service remote customer locations.
