Job Description - Service Technician / Automotive Mechanic

Job Summary:
Olson Chevrolet of Redwood Falls is seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional, team-oriented environment with access to modern tools and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment

Repair or replace defective parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems

Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate findings clearly to service advisors

Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed

Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines

Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred

Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques

Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively

ASE certification preferred but not required

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
