Service Technician - B Level Tech

DePaula Chevrolet is seeking hardworking service technicians to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate is someone who strives to become a master technician. We offer professional training for employees who want to grow and develop themselves. This candidate is someone who already has general knowledge of automotive repairs as well as makes and models of various manufacturers. Our dealership is very busy so this position does require that you are comfortable in a fast-paced setting. 

Responsibilities:

• Disassembles and performs partial or complete overhaul of engines, transmissions, and differentials.


• Uses gauges, special tools, and specialized equipment to diagnose mechanical failure or problems.


• Installs and/or adjusts brakes, heaters and defrosters.


• Replace worn or broken parts.


• Operates vehicles to diagnose problems and validate that repairs have been completed.


• Constructs, maintains or services shop equipment as necessary.


• Repairs equipment and machinery as necessary.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity with automobiles and repairs.


• NYS Inspector's License.


• Must be computer literate.


• Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.


• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.


• Excellent oral and written communication skills.


• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Skills/Qualifications

• General knowledge of automobiles and automobile repairs.


• At least 1 years of experience.


• High School diploma or GED – ASE Certification preferred.


• Mathematical and reading skills.


• Ability to learn new technology.


• Ability to learn new service techniques and procedures.

Compensation

• Flat Rate $22.00 -$32.00 depending on experience.


• Weekly pay.
