Service Technician (Roanoke Area)

Berglund Used Car Super Center is looking for a Service Technician. We are part of Berglund Automotive, a well-established and reputable automotive group with 10 locations, representing 20 different automotive brands throughout Southwest and Central Virginia.

Job Summary:

As a technician you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while maintaining a positive relationship with customers and service advisors in the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers may be informed if any additional service is needed.  Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• STATE INSPECTION LICENSE REQUIRED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an auto technician desired
• Manufacturer certified or willing to obtain required certifications
• Have knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Are a fast learner
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Are a team player
• Are computer literate
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have a High School Diploma
