Service Writer – Trailer Equipment, Inc. (Westland, MI)

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM

Trailer Equipment, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Service Writer to join our Westland, MI service team. In this role, you will serve as the key link between customers and our technicians — ensuring accurate documentation, smooth coordination of service work, and exceptional customer support.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist customers, documenting service needs and preparing estimates
• Communicate clearly between customers, technicians, and internal teams
• Coordinate service orders to ensure timely and accurate completion
• Maintain records, process paperwork, and use service management software
• Support yard and inventory tasks, including trailer inspections
• Handle customer concerns with professionalism and problem-solving skills

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with service software a plus
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round
