ServiceNow Solutions Architect

Job Summary

Morris Technology Solutions (MTS) is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solutions Architect to support a healthcare client in strengthening and maturing its existing ServiceNow platform. Rather than serving as a primary developer, this consultant will work alongside the client's internal ServiceNow team to provide technical leadership, recommend platform best practices, and help translate business use cases into scalable ServiceNow solutions. 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple enterprise environments and is comfortable guiding development teams through architecture decisions, workflow design, governance, and platform optimization. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to both technical teams and business stakeholders, helping establish best practices while supporting the continued evolution of the client's ServiceNow environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions 

• Provide guidance on ServiceNow architecture, platform design, governance, and implementation best practices 

• Advise internal development teams on workflow design, Flow Designer, and overall platform capabilities 

• Review existing ServiceNow processes and recommend opportunities for optimization, standardization, and automation 

• Help define use cases and solution approaches before development begins 

• Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing to ServiceNow developers and administrators 

• Support ITSM process improvements including Incident, Change, Problem, Request, and Service Catalog Management 

• Participate in solution design, platform roadmap discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives 

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business leaders to ensure ServiceNow solutions align with organizational goals 

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments 

• Experience serving as a ServiceNow Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, Senior Consultant, or similar advisory role 

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, workflow configuration, and ITSM best practices 

• Experience leading solution design discussions and translating business requirements into technical solutions 

• Experience mentoring development teams and providing technical guidance 

• Strong knowledge of Incident, Change, Problem, Request, and Service Catalog Management 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams 

• Ability to work independently while leading technical discussions and driving solution decisions 

• Willingness to travel to the client site in Springfield, IL as needed to support workshops, planning sessions, team collaboration, and other project activities.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience leading ServiceNow implementations or platform modernization initiatives 

• Healthcare industry experience 

• Experience with HR Service Delivery, Integration Hub, CMDB, or other ServiceNow modules 

• Background in consulting or professional services supporting multiple client environments 

• Experience establishing ServiceNow governance, standards, and platform best practices 

• Experience working within large enterprise or multi team ServiceNow environments 

• Experience facilitating workshops, gathering business requirements, and guiding technical solution discussions
