Job Description - ServiceNow Sr Developer ITSM and CMDB

Role: ServiceNow Sr Developer ITSM and CMDB
Location: Chicago, IL
Type: Contract

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Sr Developer with expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules, with a focus on ITSM and CMDB.
Design and implement solutions to enhance the ITSM and CMDB processes, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Configuration and Customization:
Customize ServiceNow applications, including forms, workflows, and notifications.
Configure ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
Develop and maintain CMDB integrations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration data.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications and systems.
Utilize APIs, web services, and middleware to enable seamless data exchange between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
Identify opportunities to improve ITSM and CMDB processes through automation and enhanced functionality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Ensure all customizations and integrations meet quality standards and perform reliably in production.
Document technical specifications, configurations, and procedures.
Provide training and support to end-users and other developers on ITSM and CMDB functionalities.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ITSM and CMDB applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow performance, functionality, and integrations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on ITSM and CMDB.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities and architecture.
Experience with JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow APIs.
Proven track record of successful ServiceNow implementations and integrations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
