Position Summary:
AUI Inc. (AUI Power) is seeking a skilled, self-motivated, and dependable team player to join our team as a Services Crewmember. This role works collaboratively with crew members to complete assigned work safely and efficiently, operating tools and equipment, preparing and assembling materials, maintaining clean and organized job sites, and supporting compliance with safety standards and electrical codes to ensure quality project execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems
Pass tools to crew members by acting as a general helper
Handle cables, conduit, and other materials as directed
Assemble components for installation
Perform general clean-up of job sites following completion of work
Operate hand tools as authorized or trained
Work with crew members to perform the day’s tasks
Operate equipment, hand tools, and lift heavy items daily
Perform manual labor such as shovel/ broom work, hand digging, trenching, pulling and removing material
Inspect electrical components, identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety codes
Diagnose and repair electrical problems in wiring, and equipment
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure functionality and prevent malfunctions
Install and maintain lighting systems, including wiring, poles and fixtures
Adhere to safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Minimum Requirements:
1+ year of related construction and/or utility/electrical experience
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
Attention to detail
Must effectively communicate with management and team members
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to remote or active job sites as needed
Strong work ethics, displaying initiative, adaptability, and integrity
Work 40+ hours per week to include during inclement weather, holidays, and/or weekends as needed
Willing to work overtime, travel long distances on short notice for storm and/or emergency events as needed
Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel on a regular basis
Must have a current, valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months
Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen
