Position Summary 

We’re seeking a full-time Set Design Supervisor (official title: Senior Set Designer II) for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. This position is within our studio team and will collaborate with various departments to execute set designs for upcoming shoots. We seek a self-driven, detail-oriented, and organized individual with a strong sense of urgency to ensure project completion.

Job Responsibilities 

• Construct and assemble each set design in alignment with the provided inspiration from our designers


• Collaborate with Studio Manager to complete up to 5 sets daily, ensuring readiness for the following day's shoots


• Communicate finished set designs with our design team for feedback; to make adjustment if needed before photo shoots


• Efficiently build and break down sets in a timely manner to ensure testing is done and approved


• Skillfully replicate the provided inspiration by utilizing requisite props, flooring, and backgrounds to closely match each designer’s vision


• Support photographers with maintenance and organization of studio space, and props


• Accurately determine appropriate background depth and seamless color based on visual inspiration


• Conduct research and generate innovative ideas to effectively execute the desired aesthetic


• Update permanent sets and walls to be refreshed every season


• Lead a small team of creative set designers to organize and prioritize weekly schedule with deliveries and prep


• Maintain a closet of props and resources and catalog accordingly


• Manage budgets and maintain abide by company policies

 Job Requirements 

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing a team and crafting set designs


• Demonstrates self-initiative, is adept in prioritizing tasks to ensure a comprehensive process and completion for each set design execution


• Proficient problem-solving skills to devising efficient solutions and to uphold designer guidelines as closely as possible


• Extremely creative to inspire a team of set designers


• Strong communication skills to facilitate top notch creative for photo shoots


• This role will involve heavy lifting and does have physical demands
