Settlement Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Settlement Coordinator will primarily take the lead by collecting data and reports from all Recycling plants. This will include proper and timely creation of settlements. 

REPORTS TO: Production Control Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and distribute settlement statements.
• Communicate regularly with Operations staff.
• Update various spreadsheets and reports regularly.
• Create daily RIMAS reports for traders and plants.
• Field questions from Accounting and Buyers.
• Cross train with the Commercial Coordinator position.
• Support the Production Control Manager with any other projects as needed.
• Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.     
• Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Prior industry experience with manufacturing / metals preferred but not required
• Minimum 1 year office environment experience

COMPETENCIES:

• Self-starter that takes initiative with a high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines

• Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs
• Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
• Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
