As a Sexual Assault Advocate, you will provide crucial support to survivors of sexual violence, guiding them through a difficult journey with compassion and dedication. A key part of your role involves empowering clients by attending court proceedings with them and setting clear expectations for their interaction with the justice system. Beyond the courtroom, you'll collaborate with agency partners to ensure survivors receive comprehensive care and manage detailed data to accurately track all client-related activities. Your ability to offer empathetic and informative advocacy during hospital examinations, police investigations, and legal proceedings will make a profound impact.

We are looking for a highly organized, independent, and victim-centered individual who excels at interpersonal, verbal, and written communication. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to maintaining confidentiality. We also prioritize the well-being of our team, offering resources and support to help you stay balanced both personally and professionally so you can continue to provide exceptional care.

We are seeking candidates with experience in roles requiring similar skills, such as those in advocacy, criminal justice, or social services. You must also be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. You should also have reliable transportation, a valid Driver's License, and the ability to travel as we provide services in Kankakee, Iroquois, and Ford counties. Bilingual candidates may be eligible for additional compensation.
