Job Description - SharePoint Administrator (On-Site)

We are seeking mission-driven professionals to join Team Red Pulley in supporting Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT).

We’re seeking a SharePoint Administrator to build and maintain secure, well-organized collaboration environments that support Navy headquarters and fleet-aligned teams. You will enable efficient information sharing, governance, and compliance across mission-critical workflows.

Location: Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (COMNAVSURFLANT) (CNSL), Naval Base, Norfolk, VA
Work Environment: On-site with periodic travel
Status: Actively Interviewing


Requirements

Minimum/General Experience: 8 years of experience in working with Microsoft SharePoint server administration; 6 years of Microsoft SharePoint programming, process flow implementation, and site implementation and programming; 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office 365 Power Applications

Minimum Education: High School diploma

Qualifications:

  • Above average experience utilizing web tools for the management of SharePoint Portal accounts and other hosted websites
  • Above average experience in Microsoft SharePoint server administration
  • Above average experience with SharePoint programming implementation and process flow development
  • Demonstrated experience managing SharePoint site collections, permissions, document libraries, metadata schemas, version control, and records management in accordance with established governance standards.
  • Above average experience with Microsoft Office 365 Power Applications for end user support and collaboration efforts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional IT support team.

Security Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain DoD clearance eligibility

Travel Requirements

  • Position is primarily based at Naval Station, Norfolk
  • Might require periodic travel within a 50-mile radius

Key Responsibilities 

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including site collections, permissions, document libraries, and governance controls.
  • Develop and support SharePoint sites, workflows, and process automation to meet CNSL headquarters and subordinate command requirements.
  • Design, build, and sustain Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to streamline data entry, approvals, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Support program and project planning by developing schedules, milestones, and status updates and participating in technical reviews and program meetings.
  • Provide software and infrastructure configuration management, including maintaining configuration baselines, documenting changes, and validating updates in accordance with the CNSL Configuration Management Plan.
  • Retrieve readiness, maintenance, and operational data from Navy systems and ensure accurate integration into CNSL SharePoint portals.
  • Develop, modify, and test software enhancements supporting SharePoint portals, SQL databases, and related applications for operational and ad hoc reporting.
  • Execute SQL queries, validate data integrity, and support reporting workflows to ensure accurate and timely information for leadership decision-making.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Office 365 Power Applications, providing end-user support and guidance for collaboration tools and automated workflows.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, network, and application stakeholders to ensure SharePoint and Power Platform solutions remain secure, compliant, and inspection-ready.
  • Maintain documentation, technical artifacts, and user guidance to support audits, reviews, and knowledge transfer.
