Sheet Metal Installer

Great Atlantic Contracting has been in the construction and renovation industry since 1977. We are locally owned, based in Virginia Beach, VA, and currently operate 24 self-storage facilities throughout Virginia & North Carolina. We are currently looking to expand our operations and have an opening for a Sheet Metal Installer. 

Primary Duties:

• 
  Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers.


• 
  Cut and install corrugated metal panels over existing sheetrock walls.


• 
  Ability to cut metal panels to fit and ensure no sharp edges are exposed.


• 
  Confirm proper layoff on existing metal studs.


• 
  Ensure the metal is properly fastened in an organized manner.


• 
  Repair and maintain sheet metal products.

Role Requirements:

• 
  Two (2) or more years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, carpentry, construction, mechanical/automotive repair, welding, or similar experience.


• 
  Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.


• 
  Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.


• 
  Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.


• 
  Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to access company vehicles.


• 
  Ability to use software to track jobs assigned.
