Description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Our Maintenance and Engineering Services team is dedicated to repairing both critical and non-critical equipment, building structures and support systems that are integral to maintaining a safe and reliable healthcare environment.

We are seeking a Sheet Metal Worker:

Layout sheet metal projects including design and layout and organizing materials.
Perform welding including GTAW and GMAW with various types of metals.
Install, test and inspect fire dampers.
Offer creative and custom metalworking.

Qualifications

Five (5) year sheet metal apprenticeship Required

Work Experience

2 years work experience and construction / installation of mechanical systems Required
3 years experience with sheet metal work in a hospital setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal Upon Hire Required
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence. Must be at least 21 years old or have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle. Upon Hire Required
