ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate presses throughout run of job.
• Coordinate with the Pressroom Manager to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
• Ensures quality and color consistency and registration throughout run.
• Perform maintenance, fill out logs and daily time sheets.
• Visually inspect images for artifacts (banding, mottling, etc.) and for color shifts during printing. Make adjustments as necessary.
• Properly perform any necessary color calibrations.
• Maintain proper daily care of machinery and following of safety standards.
• Various duties as assigned. 

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Heidelberg experience preferred.
• 4 years of printing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Knowledge of graphic arts and offset printing is very important to this position.
• Working knowledge of offset printing procedures.
• This position also requires a mechanical background, the ability to work independently and good working knowledge of the computer.
