Sheetmetal Mechanic

Position Summary: 

Talent Source is looking for skilled Sheetmetal Mechanics to fabricate and install ventilation systems aboard Navy vessels. This is a critical role in ensuring shipboard air systems are reliable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Lay out, cut, and form sheet metal using brake presses, rollers, and hand tools.

  
  


• 
  

  Install and seal ventilation ducting, enclosures, and lagging.

  
  


• 
  

  Read and follow blueprints and shipboard fabrication drawings.

  
  


• 
  

  Bend and fit thin-gauge aluminum and steel components.

  
  


• 
  

  TIG and MIG welding experience a plus.

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  4+ years of shipyard or industrial sheetmetal experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong blueprint reading and metal layout skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work in tight, enclosed, or elevated spaces.

  
  

Salary Range: $24.00–$32.00 per hour
