Shift Electrician

We at McCrum have an immediate opening for a full-time Shift Electrician in our Washburn, Maine potato processing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on complex food processing machinery, including 3-phase motors, sensors, and automated controls.


• PLC & Automation: Service and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other instrumentation devices.


• Infrastructure: Install and maintain conduit, wiring, lighting, and electrical panels throughout the facility.


• Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections and testing of electrical systems to prevent downtime. Complete preventative maintenance work orders daily to ensure optimal operation of electrical equipment.


• Safety First: Strictly adhere to safety procedures and NEC standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Licensure: A valid State of Maine Journeyman or Master Electrician license (or the ability to obtain one).


• Experience: Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred).


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics/blueprints and using diagnostic tools (multimeters, ammeters, etc.).


• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and climb for a 12-hour shift and lift to 50 lbs.


• Availability: Comfort working 12-hour shifts.

Compensation Package: Starting at $27.00 USD hourly 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
