Job Description - Shift Leader

The IHOP Shift Leader reports directly to their manager(s). The manager(s) directly supervises IHOP restaurant's employees. A shift leaders primary responsibilities include managing operations in the front and back of the house while the managers are off and additionally on high volume shifts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the restaurant floor, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Aiding kitchen staff
  • Check stock / prep levels and adjust or prep as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning duties ensuring restaurant cleanliness is maintained
  • Completing all required reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Available to work days, nights and weekends
  • Willingness to help where needed, when needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and guests.
  • Basic computer skills including Email, MS Excel, MS Word is a plus
