Shift Leader

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND MISSION STATEMENT: ROC and its employees pledge to put customers first by:

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide every guest with the fastest and most pleasant checkout experience possible through consistent customer service. Perform functions associated with sales related assets including activities to support cashiers (loans, pick-ups, drawer balancing etc.), maintain accountability standards of cashier tills, process customer needs such as stamps and lottery tickets, prepare bank deposits according to policy, process customer orders as needed to ensure customer wait time is kept to a minimum. Perform other duties as assigned by management including but not limited to vendor check in, maintaining supplies needed for front end and management teams’ office.

SCHEDULE: 28 hours per week

Knowledge and Education

• Knowledge of front end grocery operations

Skills and Abilities

• Great customer service skills
• Effective communication and guest service skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Good computer skills, e.g. point of sale system.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Good organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing / walking – high level

Environment – grocery store

Sitting – low level

Lifting – up to 25 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs constantly

Must be at least 16 years of age

Visual concentration – high level

Bend, kneel and stand for extended period of time
