Shift Leader – Chick-fil-A Douglas

Position Summary

The Shift Leader is responsible for leading daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, supporting team members, and maintaining Chick-fil-A standards. Shift Leaders play a critical role in creating a positive culture while helping the restaurant operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead shifts with energy, positivity, and a servant’s heart.
• Coach and encourage team members to perform at their highest level.
• Place team members in positions where they can succeed and grow.
• Create a positive, team-focused environment that promotes accountability and excellence.
• Lead by example in attitude, work ethic, and professionalism.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily shift operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Manage labor deployment, breaks, and team positioning throughout the shift.
• Monitor dining room, drive-thru, kitchen, and guest service areas to ensure operational excellence.
• Assist with cash management procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions.
• Respond quickly and effectively to operational challenges and guest concerns.

Guest Experience

• Deliver and model genuine hospitality.
• Ensure every guest receives friendly, accurate, and timely service.
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Help create a welcoming environment that reflects Chick-fil-A’s values.

Food Safety & Quality

• Uphold Chick-fil-A food safety and quality standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Protect the integrity of the Chick-fil-A brand through attention to detail and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience required; restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, organized, and solution-oriented.
• Demonstrates initiative and sound decision-making skills.
• Passion for serving others and developing people.

Availability Requirements

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain on your feet for extended periods.
