Shift Maintenance Electrician - TX

A leading Fortune 200 steel manufacturer seeks a skilled Shift Maintenance Electrician to join their team, supporting the electrical systems within their bar, beam, and sheet production facility. The role operates on a 12-hour rotating Dupont shift schedule. This is a 12-hour rotating shift schedule that uses 4 teams (crews) and 2 twelve-hour shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. It consists of a 4-week cycle where each team works 4 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off, works 3 consecutive day shifts, followed by 1 day off, then 3 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off, then 4 consecutive days followed by 7 days off. Personnel work an average of 42 hours per week.

• Team-Focused Maintenance: Responsibly perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide array of steel mill electrical equipment, including power distribution, control systems, PLCs, and overhead cranes. Successful individuals will work effectively within a team, applying their troubleshooting abilities and identifying opportunities for process optimization.
  

Requirements

• Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  
• A solid understanding of electrical theory
  
• experience with medium and low voltage systems, motors, and drives are essential
  

Preferred: Experience with PLCs, high voltage electrical systems, overhead cranes, and electrical substation equipment.
