The Shift Supervisor provides a supportive environment in a community residential setting, empowering participants with mental illness in their goals of recovery and rehabilitation. Focus on strengths and resiliency through person-centered planning while ensuring services align with the agency’s mission, policies, program funding, and applicable regulations.
Pay Rate: $20-$22 an hour
Open Shift: Tuesday through Saturday 10am-6pm (40hrs)
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support to staff on shift; train, guide, and model professional behavior.
Assist the Program Supervisor with administrative tasks including scheduling, onboarding, and documentation oversight.
Participate in developing and implementing Individualized Action Plans (IAPs); document participant progress.
Support participants with daily living activities including hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and wellness practices.
Assist participants with accessing community resources and navigating benefit systems such as Social Security and public transit.
Encourage participant engagement in educational and vocational opportunities.
Teach self-advocacy and support participants in developing independent living skills.
Administer and monitor medications in compliance with MAP standards; coordinate healthcare appointments.
Respond promptly to crises or medical events and follow all agency reporting procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe residential environment; promote participant involvement in upkeep.
Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
Complete timely, accurate documentation and attend required trainings, team meetings, and supervision sessions.

The Division of Recovery Services (DRS) supports individuals of all ages navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Our youth residential programs provide a safe, structured environment for adolescents involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to address behavioral health needs. For adults, DRS offers residential and outreach support for those in recovery or living with addiction, including many with co-occurring mental health concerns. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we help individuals build coping skills, restore stability, and work toward long-term recovery and wellness.
