Shipper/Receiver

General Summary:

Perform the necessary functions in Shipping and Receiving to provide neat, accurate and timely flow of materials into and out of the plant.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to SOP, special shipping instructions or instructions from Manager or Supervisor. Coordinate outsource shipments with Manager, Supervisor and/or pertinent plant personnel.
• Load and unload trucks both by hand and with fork truck.
• Deliver materials from Shipping/Receiving area to appropriate departments.
• Maintain stock of overrun castings and verification of stock castings for Production Control.
• Assist with the upkeep of CAF RS stock items including maintaining inventory and preparation for shipment.
• Maintain documentation, entering data, and logs for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Ensure that items to be shipped (including pattern equipment to be returned) are properly packaged to prevent damage.
• Perform housekeeping functions as needed to keep work area safe and orderly including maintenance of storage racks as well as outside storage.
• Assist with inventory process during monthly and annual physical inventories.
• Duties will also include material handling and working with 2nd shift finishing area. Will be expected to box fittings when necessary and assist with all aspects of expediting customer and outsource shipments.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Basic Math; Basic Reading, SOP's and Work Instructions; Basic Writing/Data Entry. Forklift experience.
