Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to manage the preparation and dispatch of specialty metal orders. This role is essential to maintaining high customer satisfaction through accurate and timely order fulfillment, while ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare metal products for shipment per customer specifications
• Apply proper packing methods and materials to protect items during transit
• Generate and verify shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing lists, and labels
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure quality and order accuracy
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies
• Follow all company safety policies and protocols

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of forklift and overhead crane experience required
• Proficient in basic warehouse and inventory systems
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs as needed
• Strong math skills and computer proficiency
• Highly organized and team-oriented
• Effective daily communication with coworkers and supervisors
