Eaton\u0027s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Shipping - 2nd shift. Roanoke, VA facility operates under Eaton\u0027s Electrical Sector providing products for Data Centers, Commercial Customers, Mining and Food \u0026 Beverage.\u200b Position offers full time employment of 40 hours and benefits consisting of medical, dental, vision, and retirement accounts (401K.\u200b\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $20.78 + $1.25 shift differential per hour. The core hours are 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY \nThe shipper prepares products for shipment and keeps record of outgoing products. Shippers will track packages through use of RF (Radio Frequency) units. For more information, visit www.eaton.com.\n\nDUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES \n\u2022 Lift products manually to place them on to pallet \n\u2022 Communicate with coworkers to share expertise \n\u2022 Follow safety procedures for equipment to reduce potential for accidents \n\u2022 Examine products to ensure damaged products are not shipped \n\u2022 Lift products to place them on to shelves \n\u2022 Use box cutters to cut packaging materials \n\u2022 Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning \n\u2022 Lift products to place them into boxes \n\u2022 Communicate with supervisors to resolve conflicts \n\u2022 Understand quota requirements to accomplish expected production level \n\u2022 Use RF (Radio Frequency) units to scan barcodes\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n\u2022 High school diploma or equivalent \n\u2022 Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. \n\u2022 Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours \n\u2022 Able to perform constant movement of the arms \n\n\nPERFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES \nKnowledge: \n\u2022 English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. \n\u2022 Production and Processing - Knowledge of techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods. \n\u2022 Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
