Shipping & Logistics Supervisor

What you’ll do:

Eaton Mission Sytems Division is seeking a Shipping/Logistics Supervisor to work in a dynamic team environment in the expanding Shipping and support team at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
•    Supervise, support and develop team of hourly employees in shipping and support departments
•    Prepares bills of lading or receipts for products, parts, and materials for shipment and routes following customer instructions.
•    Processes and distributes shipping documentation. 
•    Organizes accounting records and freight bills. 
•    Prepares special documents and labels for hazardous shipments. 
•    Files and maintains all records of shipments and certifications. 
•    Uses computer to accomplish job responsibilities.
•    Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles. 
•    Must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
•    Actively promote and enforce adherence to S|H|E rules and procedures.
•    Identify and effect change to reduce risks of harm and minimize waste and resources used.
•    Communicate to employees, visitors and customers that health and safety and a concern for the environment are values for Cobham.
•    Promote and facilitate incident and near miss reporting.
•    Actively promote and enforce adherence to S|H|E rules and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
•    Associates degree in related field or work related years of experience. 
•    Ability to perform detail-oriented work. 
•    Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. 
•    Ability to work in an office or indoor industrial environment. 

Desired Qualifications:
•    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
