Shipping and Receiving

SUMMARY:

A shipping and receiving clerk handles incoming and outgoing packages

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check freight in


• Put stock away


• Help pull orders


• Keeping accurate records


• Packaging and weighing items


• Printing shipping labels and postage


• Inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments.


• Keeping warranty up to date and clean


• Lift and move up to 75 pounds


• Pull vans in at night.


• Find homes for special order parts.


• Maintains composure in dealing with fellow employees


• Fill in for in-town driver when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate


• Driver’s license


• Forklift / Bobcat experience (preferred)


• Exceptional organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing


• Using equipment consistent with industry standards

Working Conditions:

• Noise


• Dust


• Exhaust fumes


• Outside weather conditions


• Toxic or caustic chemicals


• High, precarious places
