Shipping & Receiving Associate I

POSITION OVERVIEW

The mission of this position is to provide excellent service in the shipping and receiving process. The Shipping/Receiving Associate (SRA) is accountable for receiving materials with accuracy, executing all shipping and receiving tasks, maintaining detailed inventory records, coordinating return of material, and assisting in the kitting process.

TOP 5 RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Accurately label, pack and load items for outgoing material

2.    Transactional tasks ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

3.    Completes daily inspection on material handling equipment.           

4.    Support task assignments to fully support a changing workload.

5.    Safely pick up and deliver materials.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES 

1. Timely and accurate receipt of products (UPS/FedEx, steel, raw materials, sub-assemblies, sub-contracted materials).


2. Match P.O. to products (count, quality) and track missing or damaged components.


3. Pick up and deliver materials using a company truck and trailer, requiring a Class B CDL.


4. Maintain the order of job shelves and assist with excess inventory items.


5. Complete incoming and outbound shipments (FedEx, UPS, LTL, job shipments).


6. Request RMAs and handle vendor returns.


7. Assist with the job kitting process as directed by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
   
   
   
   • Champion and ensure the integrity of shipping/receiving and kitting processes.
   
   
   
   


8. Complete other tasks as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

·         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

·         Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

·         Ability to adapt to a changing work environment with tight deadlines.

·         Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, JobBoss, CounterPart, typing skills).

·         Demonstrates strong multi-tasking abilities

·         Health and safety-conscious.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
