Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Description

Shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments of goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. Knowledge of international shipping and customs paperwork is sought after to ensure finished goods can make it to their destination. The ideal candidate should have experience in warehouse operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages and accuracy
• Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Prepare and package products for shipment
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Forklift Certification
• Overhead crane experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with international shipping requirements/ customs paperwork (preferred)
