Purpose:

We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator ensures the smooth execution of all inbound and outbound warehouse activity by coordinating freight, documentation, inventory movement, and daily workflow. This role acts as the connective tissue between the Warehouse Manager and Shipping & Receiving Associates, combining hands-on execution with oversight, training, and process accountability.


Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Order Flow Coordination

  • Coordinate and perform daily outbound shipments to ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, labeled, staged, and shipped on schedule.
  • Monitor outbound volume and priorities, adjusting workflow as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure shipments meet customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation.

Receiving & Putaway Oversight

  • Coordinate and perform receiving of inbound shipments, verifying accuracy, condition, and alignment with purchase orders.
  • Oversee proper putaway of materials using warehouse equipment, ensuring items are stored in correct zones/bins.
  • Identify and resolve receiving discrepancies in coordination with the Warehouse Manager and internal teams.

Training & Associate Support

  • Assist in onboarding and training new Shipping & Receiving Associates on processes, systems, and safety expectations.
  • Serve as a day-to-day resource for associates, answering questions and reinforcing standard work.

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the primary coordination point between Shipping & Receiving Associates and the Warehouse Manager. 
  • Identify  inefficiencies and assist in developing new Shipping & Receiving strategies and processes.
  • Communicate shipment status, constraints, and issues clearly and proactively.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce adherence to warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of materials.
  • Identify safety risks and escalate or address them appropriately.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; 
  • 6+ years experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and basic math skills.
  • Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities to manage multiple tasks.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs and stand or move for extended periods.
  • Safety and Problem-Solving: Understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse setting and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues; forklift certification preferred.
