Job Description - Shipping and Receiving Operator

Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and storage methods and principles and the ability to organize warehouses based on this information.
Record, organize, and store all raw materials and finished goods in appropriate inventory locations.
Input all documentation into ERP to ensure an accurate record of inventory and shipments.
Prepare and stage fished, outbound materials for shipment
Load outbound trucks for shipment
Unload inbound trucks of raw material, deliver to required locations across the plant site
Properly use or operator common warehouse tools and equipment such as hand-held scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
General housekeeping of the work areas
Participate in all warehouse safety and security programs and activities
Perform and documents cycle counts as per directed by the site management.
Supply all documentation needed to complete shipping and billing requirements.
Inspect product to verify conformance to internal specifications.
Inspect, operate and clean mobile equipment such as bobcats and forklifts as needed.
Follows all company safety, environmental and quality procedures and standards.
Other duties as assigned by management .

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
2 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Control room experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment is preferred.
ERP experience is required, including hand-held scanners and manual entry SAP experience is strongly preferred.
Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft.
Must demonstrate an acceptable level of business acumen.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Analytical, critical-thinking, technical, and problem-solving skills and abilities.
