Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Larson Systems Inc is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to become an integral part of our team!  

You will handle incoming and outgoing shipment activities. You’ll also coordinate shipping and receiving for products being sent for surface treatments such as paint and heat treat.  For information about our company and products check out our website at larsonsystems.com. Responsibilities:

• Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise or materials


• Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material


• Arrange appropriate transportation of products


• Research vendors as needed for price comparison


• Assist customers and coworkers with shipping inquiries


• Manage product for transport to and from outside vendors for paint and heat treat


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields


• Experience with hand tools


• Forklift trained


• Experience with using a crane is strongly preferred


• Basic carpentry skills are strongly preferred


• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance and easily bend, push, pull, reach and stoop


• Familiarity with composing and sending email


• Previous experience with shipping/logistics tools/software
