Job Description - Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Metalworking Group is looking to add a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to our Fairfield location!

JOB SUMMARY:
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day to day inventory operations, including shipping/receiving, raw material inventory management, material handling, and finished goods inventory management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will work as a working Supervisor alongside shipping & receiving personnel.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned department.
Coordinates training of new and current employees in Shipping & Receiving.
Holds team accountable, including progressive discipline when necessary.
Manages employee time and attendance, and updates hours appropriately.
Follows receiving schedule and supervises truck inspections.
Responsible for collecting receiving data and identifying variances compared to standards.
Resolves issues regarding shipped orders in a timely manner.
Responsible for all warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory, picking orders, and packing orders for shipment.
Responsible for overseeing day to day inventory operations, including shipping/receiving, raw material inventory management, material handling, and finished goods inventory management.
Will also perform the duties of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The position requires moderate-to-heavy physical activity, including the ability to regularly handle packages in excess of 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A combination of an office environment as well as spending a significant amount of time of the manufacturing floor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of industrial warehouse experience is required
