Shipping & Receiving Supervisor - Oertel Metal Works

Oertel Metalworks is currently seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for our Davenport, Iowa location.

Our Shipping and Receiving Supervisor works right alongside the team to make sure products are moved, loaded, and delivered safely and on time. Daily responsibilities include giving clear work direction, coaching team members on the floor, checking and recording inventory counts, and helping plan routes for drivers. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role where you’ll jump in to keep things running smoothly and support the team in meeting daily goals.

What makes you successful in this position?

• Experience leading a team, ideally in shipping, receiving, or logistics operations


• Comfortable jumping in to help improve day-to-day processes, including using technology or software tools to make work easier


• Willing to split time between physical tasks and computer work


• Able to set the pace, pitch in alongside the team, and keep everyone focused on getting the job done


• Hold a valid driver’s license and able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

This position works Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm each day, with the option for overtime.  Pay is between $60,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience.
