SUMMARY: Responsible for all tasks related to accurately packing and shipping items in a fast-paced environment. This position works in partnership with the operations team and is a client-facing position.

COMPENSATION: $20/hr - $21/hr Commensurate based on experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the intake, prep, and packing of all outgoing items to meet the daily FedEx pick-up and drop off deadline. May work with other carriers as needed. 
• Assist in receiving, delivering, and picking-up local and long-distance consignments.
• Maintain and organize supplies 
• Create custom crates and packaging, coordinating with third parties as necessary
• Assist in preparing, packing, loading and unloading items for property trucks going to and from the Heritage Dallas headquarters. 
• Assess packaging needs adequately for delicate items
• Prepare setup and break down for previews and auctions
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required
• Proven experience handing delicate items of value. (Fine art, sculpture, luxury items) 
• Minimum 1 year of shipping experience in an office and packaging environment (not warehouse)
• Art handling experience and knowledge (not required, but a plus) 
• To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to repeatedly lift 40 to 70 pounds for approximately 8 hours daily
• Basic understanding of estimating for small package and LTL shipments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and basic knowledge of computer skills
• Must be highly detail-oriented

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: 

· Valid Driver’s License, preferred
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Individual must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment; hours are 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; work extended hours nights and weekends
